I have to admit it, Korean Chicken has been my go-to meal and my favorite place goes to Kko Kko Na Ra. This restaurant is one of the pioneers of Korean chicken in Singapore, and they never disappoint!

They are also the very first restaurant to introduce the very traditional fried chicken and beer from Korea to Singapore – and people have been loving it! Kko Kko Na Ra offers set menus perfect for a group of friends wanting to catch up and have some booze.

If you want to try out the most popular flavors of their chicken, you can have the Combo Set Large ($48) that gives you 18 pieces of chicken wings, great for sharing!

This set has original, garlic, and yangnum (sweet and spicy) flavored chicken.

We spoke about beer earlier, and I would never miss telling you about the chicken and beer combo from Kko Kko Na Ra! With 2 Hite Beers, you can have 16 pieces of original flavored chicken and the other half with yangnum sauce – all for only $62!

Other fried chicken flavors from this restaurant that you should never miss are: Mala Chicken, Soy Garlic, Spicy Garlic, Cheese Sprinkle, and Honey Shiock. These are available in half or whole pieces with drums and wings.

Honestly, this restaurant is very generous about their serving and one order of chicken can actually feed two to three people, if you’re not a big eater. Boneless fried chicken ($30.80) is their most popular meal simply because it saves you from all the hassle of removing bones and cartilages.

O Chicken & Beer also have happy hours and you can get 3 beers for only $14.80! Pair it up with other fried chicken flavors like Carbonara Chicken and Soy Garlic for a real Korean dining experience.

This bar and restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating which are both comfortable and peaceful, making everyone enjoy every bite of their chicken. O Chicken & Beer is also open up until 2 in the morning for people who like staying up late or working during wee hours.

Oven Fried Chicken Singapore

Oven Fried Chicken Singapore can offer you two cooking options for your chicken: baked or fried. I know we’re currently talking about fried chicken right now, but I never want to skip this moment to offer you a healthier choice which is baked chicken.

Baked chicken offers you the same crunch and juiciness like that from fried chicken, but it just takes more time. The reason behind longer waiting times is that they bake your chicken just when you order it so you can have all the freshness, crunch, and juiciness out of the oven.

They offer boneless, whole, wings, or a mixture of both (if you would have some surprises while dining). For the flavors, they only have two options for the baked chicken which is original and mild yang neom made from sweet and spicy sauce.

Oven Fried Chicken Singapore also has some roasted chicken on their menu, just in case you want to try other chicken meals. Onion Chicken (roasted chicken with welsh onion salad sauce) is also a must-try and it starts at only $26!

Currently, they have three chicken sauces that you can choose from: Soy Garlic, Yangnyeom, and Monster. Soy Garlic offers a very addicting sweet and savory flavor that even kids would love!

Yangnyeom, on the other hand, comes with a slightly sweet and spicy flavor which brings Korea closer to you because it’s one of the traditional chicken sauces.

Lastly, if you’re up for an adventure, the Monster flavor should be your choice!

Be prepared to have your lips pounding because of this very spicy sauce! It is made from a blend of hot peppers while still having that savory aftertaste that would make you want more!

After some crunchy chicken, you might want to end your meal with some noodles to make you more satisfied! We mentioned the Jjajangmyeon earlier, and if you’re not familiar with it, the sauce is actually made from black beans that give out that nutty flavor.

Jjajangmyeon also comes with some minced meat, tons of onions, cucumber, and of course some fresh noodles! This is one of Korea’s staple meals, so you have got to try this!

Chicken Up

The restaurant Chicken Up lives with the saying, “Eat. Drink. Chill” These three words will make anyone want to have a great time with their loved ones while eating their famous fried chicken, drinking ice cold beer, and just chilling for the rest of the night!

So far, this restaurant is the only one that has popcorn chicken which are very easy to eat unlike regular fried chicken.

Popcorn chicken is just like the traditional fried chicken, but just in bite size. We ordered the original one without the glaze, but honestly, I would prefer having those bones because they have more flavor inside.

But don’t worry! Chicken Up can offer you the usual chicken parts that we all love like wings and boneless chicken. For their sauces, you can choose from Soya, Spicy Yangnum, and Yangnum.

For alcohol lovers, they have tons of happy hour promotions and events that you can enjoy with your friends.

One of my favorite events is Wednesday Ladies Night! They offer FREE watermelon bingsu or watermelon soju to women in group of more than 3 – what a nice way to promote indeed! However, this event is only available in Buangkok branch only, so take note of that!

Basasak Chicken

One customer dining at the same time with me actually said that Basasak Chicken is ridiculously juicy and affordable – and I am 100% agreeing to this.

The deep fried golden brown chicken never failed to amaze me, and I never had the urge to add any sauce to it!

I have also noticed that this Korean Chicken place offers the most number of sauces that customers would love choosing from. Here’s a quick list of the sauces that you might want to try out once you visit this place:

  • Spicy Chili Dip
  • Soy Garlic Dip
  • Sweet and Spicy Dip
  • Honey Mustard Dip
  • Wasabi Mayo Dip
  • Honey Butter
  • Snowing Cheese
  • Butter Garlic
  • Hot Curry (NEW)
  • Cheese Sprinkle Powder (NEW)

If ever you want to have a lot of options when it comes to chicken flavors, Basasak Chicken is really your place to go! They also offer Korean street foods to give you more authenticity in trying out the Korean cuisine.
