If you’re just about to try some Vietnamese food, you will never go wrong with Mrs Pho! As of the moment, they have six outlets so you might probably see Mrs Pho anywhere around the city. Let’s go directly to the exciting part, and that’s the bestselling main dishes that you can try!

We highly recommend the Premium Short Rib Pho ($19.90) – it gives exactly what you’re looking for when you think of Vietnamese food, but with a more complex flavor.

This deluxe bowl of noodles are packed with meaty falling-off-the-bones ribs with homemade ‘pho’ spice rub on it.

You also have to try the Vietnamese Street-Style Corn ($3.90), and it actually goes well together with the Premium Short Rib Pho that we ordered.

The corn is booming with flavors of butter, salt pepper, and some spring onions. It’s charcoal-grilled to perfection so it also has that smoky flavor on it.

To finish your hearty meal off, you can have some Saigon Salty Lemonade ($3.90) and you’ll feel instantly refreshed afterwards!

The lemonade is not too sweet, and not actually salty like what the name says. It just has that sweet and salty blend together with the tanginess coming from the lemons.

Our quest for the best Vietnamese food will never be complete without one of the mostly rated restaurants, the Long Phung – Vietnamese Cuisine.

The restaurant is very simple and affordable, and yet it captures the hearts of Singaporeans.

To start off your Vietnamese mukbang, you have to try the Gỏi Cuốn, which are more commonly known as the summer rolls.

These rolls are packed with fresh prawns, vegetables, and some herbs – a perfect healthy appetizer!

Based on reviews, their beef pho is to die for and I want to agree with that! The broth is savory and soothing, and the beef is super tender.

The noodles are not too soggy nor hard, and you’ll surely be slurping the entire time.

You just have to be aware that this place gets a lot of customers daily, but the queue moves fast and it’s always worth the wait.

So, if you want some hearty Vietnamese lunch or dinner, this place can always be your go-to.

Little Vietnam

You don’t have to travel all the way to Vietnam just to have authentic Vietnamese food that you have been craving for too long!

Most of their food items are just under $9, so it’s a great place to go for some Vietnamese street food without spending too much.

When you look at their menu, you would be overwhelmed with the huge variety of dishes to choose from.

And since I’ve already tried a lot of pho dishes from other restaurants, I took the risk of ordering new dishes at Little Vietnam.

First, I had the Nem Nuong ($5.50) which are char-grilled Vietnamese pork sausages that are wrapped in lemongrass.

I was amazed with all the aroma and flavors when I took a bite. The lemongrass and pork go together so great, it was very satisfying!

For the main dish, I had the Com Suon Cha ($8.50) which includes some grilled pork chop, chicken meatloaf and steamed rice. I also added an additional Them Trung ($0.70) or in simpler terms, a fried egg. You get to have all the goodness in one plate, and you would never leave without feeling so full!

Lastly, I had some Cafe Den ($3.50) which is basically some black coffee in Vietnamese style. They also have a long list of iced and hot teas, coffee, and even beers if you’re dining during happy hours.

Ăn Là Ghiền – Lẩu Nướng Tự Chọn – Vietnamese Barbeque & Hotpot

I want to break the myth that Vietnamese food is just all about phos, because they also pride themselves on their barbecues and hotpots!

I am very lucky to visit and try the famous hotpot and barbecue from Ăn Là Ghiền – Lẩu Nướng Tự Chọn – Vietnamese Barbeque & Hotpot.

Let’s start with their barbecue grill and what food items you can grill. They have over 20 food items under meat and seafood that you can choose from.

They even have organ meats like chicken heart  and beef tripe if you’re up for a twist!

For seafood, they have crabs, baby octopus, prawns, snails, and fish balls that you can barbecue. All these food selections can also be added on your hotpot, and you can customize it according to your preferences.

They also have combo sets for their hotpots so you don’t have to stress much about what food items would go well with what. We highly recommend the Beef Hot Pot Set ($34.90) and it’s enough to feed up to 4 people. It has beef slices, some veggies, mushrooms, and fish balls.

This restaurant also offers two sets of barbecue combos with the same price as the hot pot sets. You can always add additional food items to grill or to include to the hot pot by choosing through their ala carte menu.
