Yardbird is a Southern-style restaurant that has locations in both Miami, Florida and Singapore. It was opened by Chef Jeff McInnis, who was a finalist on Top Chef, and two restaurateurs from Miami, John Kunkel and Chris Romero. The first location opened in South Beach in 2011. It was nominated for a James Beard Award and named “Best New Restaurant” by Bon Appétit. It was also acknowledged by Southern Living being among the best fried chicken restaurants in the South.
Yardbird Singapore Menu serves up American-style fried chicken, featuring classic fried chicken sandwiches and plates, wings, and sides. Everything is made from scratch daily, including their pickles and biscuits. They also have a great cocktail program with drinks specially designed for pairing with their food!
It is located in the center of Singapore City, so if you’re visiting from out of town or just want to grab something delicious for dinner tonight, this is a great place to go!

YardBird Best Seller Menu
Yardbird Singapore is a restaurant that specializes in one thing: chicken. The chicken is cooked to perfection, and you can choose from a variety of different sauces to accompany your meal. But aside from chicken, they also have a different menu that customers love to order.
Here’s a look at some popular items on the menu.
Yardbird Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles
It’s a beautiful day to eat waffles and chicken.
The Yardbird Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles is an incredible dish that blends the flavors of Southern comfort and modern culinary innovation. The dish features chicken breast, honey-fried watermelon, and a maple syrup whipped-cream topping on a Belgian waffle. This unique combination of ingredients makes for a truly memorable experience, whether you’re dining in at Yardbird or enjoying it as takeout.
The chicken is perfectly cooked—not too crispy, not too soft—and the watermelon adds a refreshing crunch to the dish that complements the softness of the chicken perfectly. The sauce is sweet without being overpowering, and provides just enough sweetness to balance out the savory flavors of the rest of the meal.
All told, this is one dish that you won’t want to miss out on!
Yardbird Scallop and Chorizo Pasta
The Scallop and Chorizo Pasta is one of their most popular dishes, so I decided to give it a shot.
The first thing that struck me about the dish was how rich it was—but not in an overbearing way.
Yardbird’s Scallop and Chorizo Pasta is a wonderful balance of flavors. The pasta itself is made with bottarga, a rich fish product that’s similar to prosciutto, but more intensely flavored. The dish is balanced out by fresh arugula and mildly spicy balsamic chili oil.
But what really makes this dish stand out are the scallops! They’re just so tender and delicate—they practically melt in your mouth. And they’re perfectly cooked: just enough charring on the outside to add a bit of crunch! This dish is definitely worth trying if you’re looking for something different from your usual order.
Yardbird Lobster Mac and Cheese
I’m not a fan of mac and cheese. In general, I don’t like it. As a kid, my mom would make it for me and my brother, and we would eat it, but I never really enjoyed it.
But this Lobster mac and cheese changed everything.
I was told by a friend that I needed to try Yardbird’s lobster mac and cheese, so I did. So, the next thing I tried is this menu. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful—it had just the right amount of spice to give it an edge without overwhelming the dish.
The noodles were cooked perfectly: soft but not mushy, with just the right amount of chewiness to them—they didn’t lose their shape while still retaining their texture when they were cooked in the sauce. And then there was the lobster! It was tender and juicy with a subtle flavor that wasn’t overpowering at all; instead, it added another layer of complexity to an already perfect dish!
Overall, I would definitely recommend Yardbird’s Lobster Mac and Cheese to anyone who loves lobster mac or cheese!
Yardbird Shrimp ‘N’ Grits
The next on our list is the most recommended dish on their menu. It’s the perfect storm of comfort food: savory, creamy grits and shrimp. The Yardbird Shrimp ‘N’ Grits recipe is a celebration of all things delicious.
The combination of shrimp and grits is a classic Southern take on a traditional dish that has been around for centuries—and it’s always been done well, but never quite like this.
The shrimp are cooked with butter, garlic, onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes before being placed on top of a bed of stone ground grits spiced with paprika and cayenne pepper. The dish is finished with a generous amount of fresh basil leaves.
The flavor profile is rich and complex—it’s almost like eating a stew! But while it’s definitely substantial enough to be considered a meal in itself (and trust me: you will want more than one), this dish also makes an amazing accompaniment to any main course or side dish you might choose.
Yardbird Smoked Pork Ribs
The Yardbird Smoked Pork Ribs are a great choice for any BBQ lover. The ribs are smoked in order to make them tender, and then coated in a delicious sauce. These ribs are perfect for those who want to enjoy the taste of BBQ without having to spend hours cooking it themselves. They come with a price tag of $49.50, making them an affordable option for those who want quality meat but don’t want to break the bank.
The ribs are smoked, which gives them a nice smoky flavor and texture, with just a hint of smoky aftertaste. The meat is tender and juicy, and pairs well with any sauce or side dish from the restaurant’s extensive menu.
The one thing I would say about this dish is that it’s not as sweet as other smoked pork ribs I’ve had in the past. The sauce has more of a vinegar flavor than anything else. It’s not necessarily better than other sauces—it just has a different flavor profile.
Overall, though, I’d recommend these ribs to anyone who wants something light but flavorful to eat while they’re out on the town!
