Don Don Donki Fried Chicken Karaage
If you’re looking for a delicious, simple dish that will make your mouth water and leave you feeling satisfied, look no further than Fried Chicken Karaage.
This is a traditional Japanese dish that is made with marinated chicken thighs and dusted with potato starch before deep-frying. It’s served with lemon juice and sesame seeds.
The first thing I noticed when I tasted this dish was how crispy it was—it had just the right amount of crunch when I bit into it. The second thing I noticed was how juicy the meat was—it literally melted in my mouth! The third thing I noticed was how light the dish was; it didn’t feel heavy on my stomach at all.
Overall, this dish is a winner in my book!
Don Don Donki Pork & Beef Curry Rice
I’m not sure what I expected from a curry rice, but I definitely didn’t expect this.
This one was my favorite so far! The pork and beef curry rice was delicious and filling, with a nice amount of spice. The meat was tender, and the onions were perfectly cooked. The rice had just the right amount of vinegar to make it flavorful without being too sour. And it came with a piece of pickled ginger that added just enough kick to balance everything out.
The pork was tender and flavorful, and the beef chunks were tender as well, with just enough chew to make it fun to eat. Furthermore, the rice itself was delicious: perfectly cooked, with just enough chew for texture but soft enough that it didn’t get stuck in my teeth (or require a toothpick). This is truly one of the best curries I’ve ever had.
Don Don Donki Takoyaki
This dish is made by stuffing seasoned octopus and rice into a ball-shaped mold, then cooking them over an open flame. The balls are then topped with pickled ginger, mayonnaise, and seaweed flakes.
The Takoyaki we tried at Don Don Donki were delicious. They were very crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside, which was surprising because they’re made from fresh octopus. The toppings all worked well together—the ginger was spicy enough to make your mouth tingle but not too hot; the mayonnaise added creaminess without being too rich; and the seaweed flakes added a salty bite that balanced out the sweetness of the mayonnaise and ginger perfectly.
If you’re looking for something different in Singapore, definitely try takoyaki!
Don Don Donki Sriracha Salmon Aburi Sushi
I had the Sriracha Salmon Aburi Sushi, which is a spicy salmon roll topped with sriracha and torched. It was delicious—the sushi itself was fresh and flavorful, and the sriracha added just the right amount of spice to make it interesting without being overpowering.
I loved that they torched it so it was hot and crispy on the outside without being greasy or soggy—I could taste every element of this roll. It was also surprisingly filling, but not overly heavy or greasy! It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something light but filling that still has a lot of flavor.
In addition to being delicious, this dish was also very filling. The portions were generous enough that even though I’m a big eater, I had leftovers for later in the day once I got back home. If you’re looking for something that will fill you up without breaking your wallet or your diet (it’s gluten-free), this is definitely one option!
Don Don Donki FUJIYA PEKO-CHAN MILKY CREAM PUFFS
If you’re looking for a sweet treat, look no further than Fujiya Peko-chan Milky Cream Puffs! These puffs are delicious and light, with a hint of vanilla and cream. They’re perfect for any occasion, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack.
I also really like the taste of this product. It’s got just enough sweetness without being too sweet; it’s just right for me! It also has a really subtle flavor that isn’t overpowering at all. It’s a good balance of cream and puff, which makes it even more enjoyable to eat.
We definitely recommend these puffs if you’re a fan of Japanese sweets—they’re made by the same company that makes other famous snacks like the famous Pocky stick or Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ DIY candy kits.
