While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

House of Seafood Popular Menu 2023
You know what they say: “If you love it, eat it.” And if you love seafood, then we’re right here to help.
We’ve compiled a list of the most popular menu items at House of Seafood Singapore this 2023, so you can get right to eating what you want without having to waste time perusing their whole menu.So if seafood is your thing and you’re looking for somewhere new to try in Singapore, look no further in this restaurant!
House of Seafood Salted Egg Spare Ribs

I am a huge fan of Salted Egg. I love the way it tastes, and I love the way it smells. It’s such a unique flavor, and I can’t get enough of it. So when I heard that there were Salted Egg spare ribs available at House of Seafood, I knew I had to try them!
The dish came with large spare ribs, which were coated in a light layer of salted egg sauce. The meat was tender and juicy, but not greasy or oily at all. The sauce was incredibly flavorful—a little spicy, but not overpowering—and there was just enough of it to coat each bite without making them too salty or overwhelming the flavor of the meat itself.
Overall, this is definitely a dish that I’ll be ordering again!
House of Seafood Mee Goreng

Mee Goreng is a noodle dish that originates from Indonesia. It’s typically made with Chinese wheat noodles, seafood, and vegetables, although you can use any types of noodles you like. It’s usually served with a sweet chili sauce and some sort of peanut sauce (butter, soy sauce, or both).
I think this dish is great when you’re craving something spicy and savory. It’s got a little bit of everything: salty and sweet flavors from the peanut sauce, fatty fishiness from the shrimp paste (or shrimp paste sauce), and fresh vegetables to balance everything out.
If you like it spicier than I do—which I know is kind of rare—you can always add more chili paste to your bowl!
House of Seafood Barbeque Squid

The barbeque squid is a delicacy that I’ve only recently discovered.
I’m not sure what it is about the barbeque squid, but I can’t get enough.
It’s a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy, and it has a great texture.
The squid itself tastes like nothing—it’s just meat in a shell. But the sauce that goes on top is where it’s at. It’s sweet and spicy at the same time, and it has this great garlic flavor to it that makes you want more. The sauce is so good that even though you don’t taste the squid, you still feel like you’re eating something special!

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a relaxing meal with your partner or just looking for a place to grab some great food on the go, we have an entire menu of options that will fit your needs.
We’ve rounded up the top three best sellers at House of Seafood, so you can decide whether this place is worth your time.
House of Seafood Signature Black Pepper Crab

If you’re looking for a crab dish that’s going to blow your mind, look no further than Black Pepper Crab. This is a dish that will leave you speechless and craving more.
The black pepper sauce is made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, scallions and bell peppers. The sauce is thick, rich and hearty—it goes perfectly with the succulent crab meat. If you’re looking for a dish that’s going to hit all of your taste buds in one bite, this is it!

The crab is cooked to perfection—it’s tender and juicy with just enough breading on top to give it some crunch without overpowering the flavor of the meat itself. The sauce goes so well with this dish because it brings out all of the flavors within each bite without making them too salty or spicy (which can sometimes happen when using black pepper).
This restaurant prides itself on serving only high-quality ingredients that come straight from their farm—this means no preservatives or additives are added during production or storage which helps retain freshness until arrival at your doorstep!
House of Seafood Chilli Crab

Chilli crab is a dish that has been around since the colonial era. It is a seafood dish, made with crabs and pounded chillies. The dish is popular in Singapore and Malaysia and is considered one of their national dishes.
The House of Seafood serves the authentic version of this dish. They use fresh crab meat in their chilli crab, which tastes delicious when cooked in their special sauce. This restaurant is located in Singapore, where the dish originated from, so you can be sure that this place offers only the best quality food.

This is a must-try for any seafood lover! This dish has a rich, spicy tomato and crab sauce that is served over a bed of rice. The crab itself is sweet, succulent, and perfectly cooked. It’s one of the best dishes on the menu, and we highly recommend it!
House of Seafood Homemade Prawn Rolls

The Homemade Prawn Roll is a popular dish at House of Seafood, and it’s easy to see why. The prawns are fresh and juicy, and they come with the perfect amount of sauce. The breading is crispy but not too greasy, and it’s light enough that you don’t feel like you’re eating an entire meal in one bite.

If you’re looking for a light lunch or dinner option that won’t leave you feeling gross afterward, this is the one for you!
About House of Seafood Singapore
180 Yio Chu Kang Road is the address of the original House of Seafood Singapore restaurant.
Elderlies were collecting cardboard by the roadways to make a living when the founder, Dato Francis Ng, observed them. He offered them money, but the elderly declined his thoughtful efforts. Therefore, he made the decision to open a seafood restaurant in order to give elderly people employment chances as there were no minimum requirements for waiters and waitresses to work there.
It was pleasant to hear that Chef, a close friend, was looking for work. At the time, the chef informed him that the only dish he could prepare was black pepper crabs. He has only cooked that up until this point.
As the restaurant grew in popularity, so did its clientele. One day, a customer came in and ordered a signature dish—the Black Pepper Crab. She loved it so much that she wanted to meet the chef behind this amazing food! The next day, House of Seafood was featured in Lian He Zao Bao (a Chinese newspaper). It had become such a popular place that customers were lining up for hours just to get seats!
House of Seafood has worked hard to offer the best to all of its consumers over the years. They hope that House of Seafood will stay synonymous with delicious, enjoyable food and camaraderie in every family.
